TV Districts Digital Programming Broadcasting in CSA 70 TV-2

County Service Area 70 TV-2 discontinued the transmission of their analog TV signal in favor of a digital broadcast in March of 2014.

Current digital programming can be found on channels 30, 32, and 34. These digital channels are known to produce an excellent picture and sound quality, while allowing the delivery of multiple program streams within the main channel. A station programming guide can be found here.

In order to receive the digital signal, District residents must have an aerial antenna and either a converter box or digital-ready television.

This county service area was established on October 18, 1976
When the formation of this improvement zone came to a vote, 94% of voters approved of its creation, which was 766/816.
The Morongo Tower was originally designated to provide nine channels of Ultra High Frequency (UHF) television and one channel of Very High Frequency (VHF) television.
This CSA serves approximately 38 square miles and 2,000 households.
Digital television allows televised information, such as emergency messages, to be sent more efficiently than older technology.
About 14% of U.S. households watch TV exclusively over the air. That's about 15.5 million households!
