TV Districts Digital Programming Broadcasting in CSA 70 TV-5

County Service Area 70 TV-5 discontinued the transmission of their analog TV signal in favor of a digital broadcast in late March, 2014.

Current digital programming is being transmitted on channels 15, 16, and 17. These digital channels are known to produce an excellent picture and sound quality, while allowing the delivery of multiple program streams within the main channel. A station programming guide can be found here.

In order to receive the digital signal, District residents must have an aerial antenna and either a converter box or digital-ready television.

Facts

County Service Area 70 TV-5 was established on July 11, 1995.
There are a total of 6,858 parcels within the District.
The TV translator tower is located on top of Pinto Mountain and was originally designated to produce eight Ultra High Frequency (UHF) signals.
The Pinto Mountain tower produces a directional television signal that can reach out over 100 miles.
About 14% of U.S. households watch TV exclusively over the air. This is about 15.5 million households nationally!
